5.2 FasTeNING THe cHIld INTo THe cHIld

The correct adjustment of the headrest ensures that
the child is properly fastened into the car seat. The
headrest must be adjusted so that the harness (which
moves with the headrest) is at shoulder height on the
child or slightly above, but never behind the back or
at ear level (fig. 1).
1. Pull the headrest height adjuster (08) and move it
to shoulder height in accordance with the size of
the child (fig. 2).
2. Loosen the harness straps by stretching the
chest section while holding down the harness
adjustment button (11) (fig. 3).
3. Open the buckle (10) so that the child can be
placed into the seat. The harness straps can be
placed on the armrest (fig. 4)
4. Place the child into the seat.
5. Fit the safety harness around the child, using the
buckle (10) to fasten the two parts together until
you hear a "click" (fig. 5).
6. Stretch the harness adjustment belt in order to
give the harness the correct amount of tension
(12). Remember that in order to guarantee the
child's safety, harnesses must be well-tightened
(fig. 6).

6.1 cHIld seaT INsTallaTIoN

4 years of age (9-18 kg)
6.1.1 Installing the Isofix connectors
1. Pull out the Isofix connectors (06) as far as
possible by pulling on the strap (fig. 1).
2. Clip the insertion guides onto the Isofix anchorage
points in the vehicle.
3. Guide the Isofix system connectors on the child
seat into the insertion guides until they lock
into the Isofix anchorage points in the vehicle
and there is an audible "click". The Isofix system
indicator will change from red to green when the
child seat is securely locked in place (fig. 3)
4. Push the child seat against the car seat to check
that the Isofix system is fully latched, ensuring
that the child seat is as close to the car seat as
possible.
5. Shake the child seat to ensure that it is anchored
securely and has been fitted correctly (fig. 4).
6.1.2 Uninstalling the Isofix connectors
1. Pull the release buttons back to uninstall the Isofix
system (07) from the child seat (fig. 5 and 6).
