Functions of the complete set
The complete set consists of the WindControl control unit, the AN2
wind transmitter (incl. installation material), a radio receiver, the LS10
light sensor, a wall transmitter and the operating manual. This allows a
BECKER tube drive to be controlled and the driven awning to be pro-
tected from excessively strong wind.
The wind transmitter transmits the current wind value to the control
unit. This compares the currently measured value with the maximum
wind value set on the controller. If the measured value is greater than
the set value, then the awning retracts within 3 seconds. At the same
time, manual control is inhibited. Manual operation is only released
again after the measured value has been below the maximum wind
value for 15 minutes.
The awning can be conveniently controlled by radio in conjunction
with the wall transmitter and receiver. The range of functional are in-
creased by the use of the LS10 light sensor. In this case, the awning is
then also controlled in relation to the light incidence.
Installation and Commissioning
Installing the AN2 wind transmitter
1. Fix the AN2 wind transmitter vertically to the exterior wall or the roof
with the help of the installation bracket.
2. Screw the wind transmitter firmly to the installation bracket.
Caution
For manual operation, do not use a locking switch with a
continuous direction command.
Note
The installation location must be selected in such a way
that even when the sunshade is extended, the wind trans-
mitter can measure the wind speed present. In this way,
the sunshade is protected against excessively high wind
speed. Do not install the wind transmitter beneath roof
projections or close to other objects (extended sun-
shade, trees, building) which may affect the measure-
ment.
