Switching the Laser Detector On and Off
A loud audio signal sounds when switching on the measur-
ing tool. Therefore, keep the laser receiver away from your
ear or other persons when switching on. The loud audio signal
can cause hearing defects.
– To switch on the laser receiver, press On/Off button 12.
After switching on the laser detector, the measuring accuracy level
"medium" is always set.
– To switch off the laser receiver, press the On/Off button 12 again.
When no button is pressed on the laser detector for approx.
5–8 minutes and when no laser beam reaches the reception area for 11
5–8 minutes, the laser detector automatically switches off to save the
batteries.
Direction Indicators
The display 10 has 7 separate reception channels, which indicate the
position of the laser detector with reference to the laser plane. The
closer the laser beam comes to the centre mark 20 of the laser detector,
the more bars are indicated in direction indicator 18 and 17.
(see figure B)
– Direct the reception area 11 toward the line laser.
– Slowly move the laser detector upward or downward until the direc-
tion indicators 18 and 17 appear on display 10 and/or an audio signal
can be heard.
According to the working conditions and the requested accuracy,
select the sensitivity with button 13.
– Move the laser detector upward when direction indicator 17 is lit
(with the speaker volume on, a short audio signal is heard).
Move the laser detector downward when direction indicator 18 is lit
(with the speaker volume on, a long audio signal is heard).
When the centre of the reception area 11 is reached, the centre mark
20 on display 10 is indicated and a continuous audio signal is heard.
Memory Function
If the laser beam leaves the reception area, the last laser beam position
is saved.
Electronic Filter
The electronic filter protects the laser detector against bright sunlight
and electromagnetic interference.
