7. Care and maintenance

7.1 Looking after the set
Keep the set dry, clean and free of oil and grease. Do not
use care products which contain silicone. Clean the set
regularly with water and a cloth.

8. Faults

Fault
The drilling point is leaking, The water discharge hose is blocked.

No water is flowing to
cool the drill bit.
The drilling progress is
unsatisfactory.
The hole starting aid
drops off the wall or
moves during drilling.

9. Disposal

A high proportion of Hilti accessories are manufactured from recyclable materials. Separation of the materials is
a requirement for recycling. In many countries Hilti is prepared to take back your old appliance for recycling. Ask
Hilti customer service or your sales representative.

Hilti does not assume liability for damage caused by disregard of the above instructions.

Cause
The rubber lip of the hole starting aid
is not situated cleanly on the surface.
There is no water or no pressure in
the pressure water cylinder.
The water supply hose is blocked
The diamond drill bit is worn.
The suction holder is not sticking
adequately to the wall.
The locking screw is not tight.
7.2 Maintenance
Regularly check all parts of the set for damage and that
all controls are in full working order. Do not operate the
set if parts are damaged or if controls are not in full wor-
king order.
Remedy
Check the water discharge hose for
contamination and, if required, clean it.
Check correct assembly on the surface.
Check the level of the water tank and fill
with water if required or build up the
pressure in the cylinder.
Check the water supply hose for
contaminants and remove them.
Check the condition of the drill bit.
If the drill bit is extremely worn, change it.
The surface must be smooth and level.
Always keep the underside of the suction
holder clean.
Tighten the locking screw adequately.
