SUPPLEMENT
<Cleaning the drain fi lter and drain pan>
Floor Standing Type (P1):
1.
Removing the front panel
Open the front panel with a lifting motion to detach the latch.
2.
Cleaning
Remove any dirt accumulated in the drain pan, and then
wipe it clean. Also, clean the drain filter in the same way as
the air filter.

Concealed Floor Standing Type (R1):
Remove the screws, open the front panel, and then remove any
dirt accumulated inside the drain pan and wipe it clean. Also,
clean the drain filter in the same way as the air filter.

How to adjust the air direction
1.
Remove the lid near the air discharge grille.
2.
Remove the 3 screws and the cover plate.
3.
Slide and lift up the air discharge grille.
4.
Rotate the blades of the grille to select in the desired air
discharge direction (90, 180 or 270 degrees).
5.
Return the cover plate and screw it in place. Then return
the lid to its original position.

■ When Using Wired Remote Controller Instead of
Wireless Remote Controller
Wall-Mounted (K1-Type)
When the wired remote controller is to be used, slide the switch
(S011) on the indoor unit control PCB to the OFF position.
● If this setting is not made, an alarm will occur.
(The operation lamp on the display blinks.)

■ Tips for Energy Saving

Avoid
● Do not block the air intake and outlet of the unit. If either
is obstructed, the unit will not work well, and may be
damaged.
● Do not let direct sunlight into the room. Use sunshades,
blinds or curtains. If the walls and ceiling of the room are
warmed by the sun, it will take longer to cool the room.

● Always try to keep the air filter clean. (Refer to "Care and
Cleaning.") A clogged filter will impair the performance of the
unit.
● To prevent conditioned air from escaping, keep windows,
doors and any other openings closed.
NOTE
Should the power fail while the unit is running
If the power supply for this unit is temporarily cut off, the unit will
automatically resume operation once power is restored using
the same settings before the power was interrupted.
