13.5 Wear the helmet and ensure that the positioning and comfort suit your head.
Otherwise, adjust once again.
WARNING
- After adjusting the position of the liner, wear and fasten the helmet to check the
correct adjustment of the chin strap (see attached label), the correct positioning
of the helmet on the head in the riding position and the undermining (see "SAFE-
TY AND USE INSTRUCTIONS" above).

14 Creating space for the eyewear
14.1 Remove the left cheek pad from the helmet (see instructions above).
14.2 Remove the inner expanded foam cheek padding (see instructions above).
14.3 Detach the upper part of the pre-lined inner padding (Fig.20), then correctly
reposition the remaining part of the padding in the cheek pad.
It is recommended that you keep the removed padding for reuse in the future
14.4 Reassemble the inner expanded foam cheek padding of the cheek pad (see
instructions above).
14.5 Reassemble the complete cheek pad on the helmet (see instructions above).
14.6 Repeat the same process with the right cheek padding
15 Closing space for the eyewear
15.1 Remove the left cheek pad from the helmet (see instructions above).
15.2 Remove the inner expanded foam cheek padding (see instructions above).
15.3 Properly insert part of the previously removed padding into the fabric lining cov-
er of the cheek pad (Fig.20).
15.4 Reassemble the complete cheek pad on the helmet (see instructions above).
15.5 Repeat the same process with the right cheek padding.
NOLAN EMERGENCY RELEASE SYSTEM (NERS)
The Nolan Emergency Release System (NERS) allows the rescue personnel to remove
the pads of the cheek pads from the helmet while it is still on the rider's head.
To remove the left cheek pad from the helmet, unfasten the chin strap and then pull
the red strap placed in the front area of the pad as shown in Fig.21.
The safety lever placed on the back of the cheek pad will first detach and then, while
continuing to pull the red strap, the pad will detach from the polystyrene and gradually
turn toward the outside of the helmet, leaving its side area free.
Repeat the same step on the right side of the helmet, which can then be more easily
removed from the rider's head.
WARNING
- Never pull the red straps of the Nolan Emergency Release System (NERS) while
riding.
- Always check that the cheek pads are properly assembled. After using the Nolan
Emergency Release System (NERS), check that the cheek pads are not damaged
and reassemble them following the instructions above.
- Do not use the Nolan Emergency Release System (NERS) for the routine cheek
pad maintenance and cleaning operations.
- Do not remove the stickers shown in Fig.22 from the helmet as they could pro-
vide useful information to emergency personnel.
