cleAning And MAintenAnce

1. Switch off the appliance (indicator light extinguishes).
2. Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the appliance to cool.
3. E mpty the espresso filter.
4. C lean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. Make sure no moisture
gets into the appliance.
5. W ash the loose parts (filter and filter holder, frother and grid) in hot water containing washing-up liquid,
or place in the upper rack of a dishwasher. Rinse the parts with ample water, and dry them thoroughly.
• N ever immerse the appliance, plug or power cord in water. Never put the appliance in a
dishwasher. Only the detachable parts (filter and filter holder, frother and grid) may be immersed in
water.
• N ever use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes)
to clean the appliance.
cleAning And MAintenAnce - descaling
Limescale can reduce the efficiency of the appliance. Limescale is common in areas with hard water. We
advise the use of a suitable descaling agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the
descaling agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.

guArAntee terMs

The importer guarantees the appliance against defects caused by manufacturing and/or material faults for
60 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions.
1. N o charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the warranty period. Any repairs carried
out during the warranty period do not extend the warranty period.
2. T he importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that he replaces or a faulty
appliance (in the event of replacement of the appliance).
3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the original bill of sale.
4. C laims under warranty must be submitted to the dealer where the appliance was purchased or to the
importer.
5. The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.
6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
b. F aulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety
regulations.
c. Connection to a mains voltage other than the voltage specified on the type plate.
d. Unauthorized modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.
f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or protection.
7. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
a. Losses incurred during transport.
b. The removal or changing of the appliance's serial number.
8. The guarantee does not cover power cords, lamps or glass parts.
9. N o claims can be submitted under this warranty for damage other than the repair or replacement of
