5. P ut the plug in the wall socket and switch on the appliance by using the switch. The control light will
now illuminate.
6. S witch off the appliance only once cups are filled with the last drops of coffee. The control light will
extinguish when the switch is set to the '0' position.
7. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
• The appliance will not keep the coffee in the cup warm.
• Allow the appliance to cool down before using it to brew additional coffee!
• A fter 15 minutes the coffee maker will switch off automatically. If you wish to brew coffee after this
has happened, set the switch to '0' before setting it '1'.

ClEAnInG And MAIntEnAnCE

1. S witch off the appliance, take the plug out of the socket, and allow the coffee maker to cool.
2. C lean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, and then dry it thoroughly.
Make sure no moisture gets into the appliance.
3. W ash the permanent filter in hot water with washing-up liquid. Rinse the filter with ample clean water,
and then dry it thoroughly.
• N ever immerse the coffee maker, the plug or the cable in water. Never put the appliance in a
dishwasher. Only the permanent filter may be immersed in water.
• N ever use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes)
to clean the appliance.
ClEAnInG And MAIntEnAnCE - descaling
Limescale can reduce the efficiency of your coffee maker. Limescale is common in areas with hard water.
We advise the use of a suitable descaling agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the
descaling agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.
tHE EnVIronMEnt
D ispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers.
W hen this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it in a dustbin;
hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Please refer to
the symbols on the product, the user's instructions or the packaging.
T he materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or other means of
making use of old electrical equipment will make an important contribution to the protection of the
environment.
C ontact your municipality for the address of the appropriate collection point in your neighbourhood.

GuArAntEE tErMs

The importer guarantees the appliance against defects caused by manufacturing and/or material faults for
60 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions.
1. N o charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the warranty period. Any repairs carried
out during the warranty period do not extend the warranty period.
2. T he importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that he replaces or a faulty
appliance (in the event of replacement of the appliance).
3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the original bill of sale.
4. C laims under warranty must be submitted to the dealer where the appliance was purchased or to the
importer.
5. The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.
6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
b. F aulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety
regulations.
c. Connection to a mains voltage other than the voltage specified on the type plate.
d. Unauthorized modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.
f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or protection.
7. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
a. Losses incurred during transport.
b. The removal or changing of the appliance's serial number.
