Faults
Charger does not work after
being switched on
Set charger to 0 (OFF) (8).
Check mains connection.
Check mains fuse.
Disconnect mains cable from
mains and from charger. Remove
mains fuse holder (10). Replace
mains fuse with spare fuse T4 A
(there is a spare fuse in the fuse
holder).
Caution:
Use only fuses T4 A!
Insert the mains fuse holder and
connect the mains cable to the
charger.
Switch on the charger.
If the charger still does not work
after the mains fuse has been
changed, it must be inspected by
Bosch customer service.
Normal charging Red LED (7)
lights up:
Check polarity, connect charging
clips to correct poles of battery (red
clip to positive pole, blue clip to
negative pole.
Yellow LED (6) lights up:
Check whether battery is exhaus-
ted. Charge battery in mode for
exhausted batteries (see putting
into operation).

Charging exhausted batteries
Red LED (7) lights up:
Check polarity, connect charging
clips to correct poles of battery (red
clip to positive pole, blue clip to
negative pole).
Yellow LED (6) does not go out:
If the yellow LED is still on after
approximately 10 hours of battery
charging, check the battery.
Back-up mode/floating opera-
tion Red LED (7) lights up:
Check polarity, connect charging
clips to correct poles of battery (red
clip to positive pole, blue clip to
negative pole).
Yellow LED (6) lights up:
Check whether loads with more
than a total of ca. 2 A power con-
sumption are switched on. Switch
off loads until green LED (5) lights
up. Check whether there is a short
circuit in the vehicle electrical sys-
tem.
