Introduction
This alarm system is operated by the original high security remote control described in the car's
owner's manual. To programme extra remote controls consult your Toyota authorised retailer.
The alarm system can only be armed and disarmed with the original car remote control. The
protection of your car is assured by interior movement and perimetric sensors. The alarm system is
self-protected against system attack.
During an alarm, the alarm siren, and the vehicle horn, and the blinkers are activated.
Product functions
The Alarm system performs the following functions:
• Perimetric protection (doors, boot, and bonnet)
• Interior and window breakage protection (by ultrasound sensor)
• Alarm system tampering protection
• Protection against unauthorised starting of the engine
• Self-powered alarm system
• Acoustic and visual alarm signalization
• Alarm system status and diagnostic indication light (LED)
• Additional protection features can be added (inclination sensor module, ...).
Alarm operation
The alarm is activated in the following situations:
• A locked door or boot is opened in any way other than using the alarm system remote control.
• The bonnet is opened while the car is locked.
• The intrusion sensor is activated: when the sensor detects something moving inside the car, or
a window is broken.
• The battery terminal is disconnected while the alarm system is activated.
Remarks
The intrusion sensor may be triggered by any of the following:
• Dangling accessories
• Automatic or high pressure car washes
• The impact of hail, lightning strikes, or other kinds of impact or continuous vibrations
• Any open window or sliding roof.
As you will see from paragraph 2.., the intrusion sensor can be deactivated.
