CHAPTER 6 - PUTTING OUT OF SERVICE
6-1 DISMANTLING THE MA-
CHINE
When demolishing/scrapping the ma-
chine, observe the following instruc-
tions:
-
cut off the electrical connections
-
empty the tanks containing the
waste oil
-
only skilled and authorized person-
nel may carry out the dismounting
of the machine
It should be noted that the machine at
the end of its working life must be man-
aged like industrial waste and for this
reason waste collection, grading, trans-
port, management, disposal and de-
posit on the soil must be carried out
according to the regulations in force
referring to the European Directive 91/
156/EEC published on 18 March 1991
and 91/689/EEC published on 12 De-
cember 1991 and to its subsequent
modifications.

6-2 MATERIAL DISPOSAL

Elimination of electrical parts:
This material can be eliminated by
refuse disposal, according to the law
of the country where the machine is
used.
Elimination of mechanical parts:
The machine is made of aluminium,
steel and plastic.
Steel and aluminium do not cause en-
vironment damage if they are recycled
by specialized and authorized compa-
nies.
Plastic can be environmentally hazard-
ous, so it has to be managed only by
companies specialized and authorized
for refuse destruction.
Elimination of waste oil:
The oils used during the working cycle
and/or during the maintenance of the
machine must be eliminated according
to the European Directive 91/156/EEC
published on 18 March 1991 and 91/
689/EEC published on 12 December
1991 which obliges every firm manag-
ing waste oil to notify to the relevant
authorities the disposal of the waste oils
and of their residues. It should be noted
that it is compulsory to apply to the
WASTE OIL ASSOCIATION, according
to the DPR no. 691 published on Au-
gust 1982.
