CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION

1-1 SAFETY RULES

-
Your feed unit is exclusively de-
signed to feed pieces of wood or
wood-like materials to standard
woodworking machines.
The Feed unit is not suited for use
outdoors or in rooms at risk of ex-
plosion.
It can be assembled, operated,
maintained and repaired only by
trained and authorized personnel.
-
The Feed unit can be connected to
the machine only by means of the
special current tap provided for feed
devices. The current tap is con-
nected to the control panel of the
machine so that, when the normal
or emergency stop control is used,
the current tap is disconnected from
the electricity supply. The current
tap must be equipped with an over-
load protection system and be con-
nected to the machine undervoltage
trip and/or release protective de-
vices.
-
Observe the relevant accident-pre-
vention regulations and any other
generally accepted technical rules
14
and procedures concerned with the
protection of workers health and
safety.
-
Correct use also presupposes ob-
servance of the directions contained
in the instruction manual.
-
The Feeder must be used only in
the manner described in this instruc-
tion manual. Any other use is con-
sidered illegitimate and therefore
prohibited. The consequence of re-
sulting damage is not the responsi-
bility of the manufacturer.
-
If the machine is supplied unpro-
vided with the plug, make sure that
the electrical connection is made by
a QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. The
feed unit must be connected to the
machine so that when the normal
and/or emergency stop control is
used the current tap is disconnected
from the electricity supply. The ma-
chine must be provided with an
overload protection system for the
feed unit, and be connected to the
machine undervoltage release pro-
tective devices.
WARNING
Work on the electrical system must
be carried out only by a skilled elec-
trician!

1-2 INTENDED USE

The use of and the maintenance op-
erations on the Feeder must be car-
ried out as described in this instruction
manual, Including the normal mainte-
nance operations.
WARNING
It is therefore advisable to look the
instruction manual over before as-
sembling the machine. Any modifi-
cation, use or intervention other
than those described for represents
an anomalous condition which, be-
sides damaging the machine, can be
extremely dangerous for the opera-
tor.
