surface (Fig. 7 - page 4) can be used to adjust a
specific cutting depth. This however only applies to
saw blades with ø 250 mm (9 27/32 in.).
If an accurate adjustment of the cutting depth is
necessary, e.g. when grooving or chiselling always
start from below in order to compensate possible
play.
5.5 Setting for bevel cuts
Danger
Make sure before inclining with a
running saw blade that neither the
multi-function stop nor workpieces
are in the swivel range of the saw
blade.
For angles up to 45° you must first of all release the
fixing lever 29 (Fig. 6 – page 3) by turning it counter
clockwise. Swivel the saw unit by turning the handle
30. The cutting angle is indicated on the indicator of
angle scale 31.Tighten the locking lever 29 again.
If the slide bar 32 is pushed upwards, the saw unit
can be tilted by an additional 2° beyond the two end
positions 0° and 45°. By resetting the slide bar 32,
the basic setting is restored.
5.6 Universal stop
The complete universal stop consists of the retaining
bracket 13 (Fig. 2 - page 3) and the stop plate rail 6
that can be adjusted inside the retaining bracket. You
can clamp it firmly according to requirements at all
sides of the table in the dovetail guides using wing
bolt 11 located on the underside of rod holder 13.
This stop can be used both as parallel stop on the
circular saw and also as cross and mitre stop for the
pull-push saw.
The position of the stop rail (workpiece unit) to the
index plate and/or to the scale has been precisely
adjusted at the factory. Nevertheless, if a later
adjustment should become necessary, this is
accomplished as follows:
Attach the universal stop in the dovetail guide
on the right or left longitudinal side of the table.
Bring the stop rail into the 0° position by
releasing the upper wing bolt 12 and tighten the
wing bolt.
Loosen both cylinder-head screws, which are
accessible from above with a screwdriver.
Push the stop rail against the saw blade after
loosening the lateral wing bolt on the rod fixture
13 until it rests against the saw blade.
Retighten the cylinder-head screws.
The angle display remains on the scale after
readjusting the stop!
5.7 Application as parallel stop
You can fasten the universal stop in different
positions and use it as a parallel stop (see Fig. 2 -
page 3):
- On the right or left front side of the table when
adjusting the stop rail 6 to 0° on the angle scale.
For this purpose, fasten the stop in the dovetail
guide in such a way that the stop rail runs from the
front table edge to behind the riving knife/splitter.
(machine in circular saw bench function)
Adjust the cutting width after releasing the lateral
wing bolt on the rod holder 13 by moving the guide
rod 16. The width can be read off on the
measurement scale 15 from the stop rail on the
side of the saw blade. After adjusting, tighten the
wing bolt again.
- On the right or left front side of the table when
adjusting the stop rail 6 to 90°. After releasing the
lateral wing bolt on the rod holder 16 adjust the
limit stop such that the stop plate rail extends from
the front table edge to behind the riving
knife/splitter. (machine in circular saw bench
function)
Adjust the cutting width after releasing wing bolt 11
on the bottom side of rod holder 13 by moving the
entire limit stop in the dovetail guide. The kerf
width can be read off on the measurement scale
15 from the stop rail on the side of the saw blade.
After adjusting, tighten the wing bolt again.
The stop rail 6 can be adjusted in the stop in the
longitudinal direction. If there is a risk, e.g. when
slitting solid wood, of workpiece jamming between
