Recommissioning

Rinse the tank thoroughly with water after cleaning or after maintenance. Vent the individual water
circuits.

Note!
Unusual noises arise due to expansion of the cylinder and are harmless.
Note!
The operator is responsible for upgrading the cylinder with an impressed current anode.
Note!
There is no danger to health arising from the adverse odours and the dark colour of the
heated domestic hot water.

Electrochemical processes
between the protective anode
and copper pipe material
Formation of hydrogen
sulphide by sulphate reducing
bacteria in water with low
levels of oxygen

Maintenance
Remedy
Observance of the flow rule.
Electrical isolation of the copper
piping installation from the
cylinder using insulating fittings.
• Cleaning of the storage
vessel.
• Replacement of the sacrificial
anode
• Heating temperature > 60°C
• Replace magnesium
sacrificial anode with an
impressed current anode.
