Notes on documentation
This installation and short user's guide is intended for experienced trained specialists and contains

only the most important information concerning the assembly, installation and function of the
CMC III CAN-Bus DRC (subsequently called CAN bus DRC).

technical data for the CAN bus DRC with regard to:

Safety instructions
– Assembly and installation of the device may only be performed by experienced trained special-
ists.
– A mains power connection or a mains power wiring as part of the CAN bus DRC wiring may only
be performed by an experienced electrician.
– The CAN bus DRC housing must not be opened.
– The CAN bus DRC may not come in contact with water, aggressive or inflammable gases and
vapours.
– The CAN bus DRC may only be operated within the specified environmental conditions (see
section 3.4).

Product description
3.1
Functional description
The CAN-Bus DRC is compatible with the CMC-TC "RFID controller" unit which like the CMC-TC
system can be connected to the CMC III system. A channel can be used to connect this unit. The
CAN bus DRC initialises itself automatically after connection to the CAN bus system.
3.2
Proper use
The CAN-Bus DRC must only be used for the connection of CMC-TC "RFID controller" units to the
CMC III system. Any other use is not permitted.
