Searching for a service by name (Quick-
BrowZer™)
You can display a list of services for easy searching.

During DAB reception, press
The unit enters Quick-BrowZer mode, and the
list of services appears.

Rotate the control dial to select the
desired service, then press it.
Reception starts.
To exit the Quick-BrowZer mode
Press (browse).
Setting DAB announcements
Specific types of DAB announcements that you set
can interrupt the currently selected source.

During DAB reception, press MENU,
rotate the control dial to select
[GENERAL], then press it.

Rotate the control dial to select
[ANNOUNCE], then press it.

Rotate the control dial to select the
desired type of announcement, then
press it.

Rotate the control dial to select [ON] or
[OFF], then press it.
Notes
 The DAB announcement feature is available when
turned to other than the MW/LW bands.
 During a DAB announcement, the volume is adjusted
to the level set for TA in RDS (page 11).
Type of announcement
ALARM (Alarm), TRAFFIC (Road Traffic Flash),
TRAVEL (Transport Flash), WARNING (Warning/
Service), NEWS (News Flash), WEATHER (Area
Weather Flash), EVENT (Event Announcement),
SPECIAL (Special Event), RAD_INFO (Program
Information), SPORTS (Sport Report), FINANCE
(Financial Report)
To listen to the same or similar program even
during weak reception
Set either or both [FM LINK] and [SOFTLINK] to [ON]
(page 17).
[FM-LINK] lights up when the corresponding FM
program is being received.
"Hard Link" follows the same program, and "Soft
Link" follows a similar program.

Updating the service list automatically
(Auto scan)

Press MODE to select [DB1], [DB2] or
[DB3].

Press MENU, rotate the control dial to
select [GENERAL], then press it.

Rotate the control dial to select
[AUTOSCAN], then press it.
The unit updates the list of services in Quick-
BrowZer mode.

Using FM/MW/LW

Storing automatically (BTM)

Press MODE to change the band (FM1,
FM2, MW or LW).

Press MENU, rotate the control dial to
select [GENERAL], then press it.
3
Rotate the control dial to select [BTM],
then press it.
The unit stores stations in order of frequency on
the number buttons.
Tuning
1
Press MODE to change the band (FM1,
FM2, MW or LW).
2
Perform tuning.
To tune manually
Press and hold SEEK +/– to locate the
approximate frequency, then press SEEK +/–
repeatedly to fine adjust to the desired
frequency.
To tune automatically
Press SEEK +/–.
Scanning stops when the unit receives a station.
Repeat this procedure until the desired station
is received.
