2. Product description
This newly-developed animal deterrent device offers you a mo-
dern electronic solution to the problem of bothersome animals
on your property or in your garden. Thanks to the modern por-
table design including accessories, the deterrent device can be
installed in virtually any place in your house or garden, even in
places where there is no mains electricity supply. The deterrent
device protects your house and garden around the clock in an
environmentally-friendly manner, with no chemicals, health
hazards or odours. The deterrent device uses extremely high
frequency or ultrasonic sound to scare off dogs, cats, rabbits
and other wild animals.
3. Explanation of diagram
1.
Loudspeaker: emits a high frequency or ultrasonic sound
to scare off pests and animals.
2.
PIR movement detector: generates a signal to trigger the
output circuit when the passive infrared movement sen-
sor detects the movement of pests or animals within the
detection range. It will be reset for the next detection.
3.
Function selector switch:
Three selectable functions: "M/S / CON / OFF"
"OFF" - Switches off the unit.
"CON" - Continuous emission if the AC adaptor is used, or
intermittent emission (0.5 sec "ON") if battery operation
is used.

Frequency selector switch:
Three frequency ranges, "H / M / L " can be selected
"H" - high frequency sound
"M" - medium frequency sound
"L" - low frequency sound
Test button: Used to check whether the signal is being

LED indicator: The LED indicator lights up if the high fre-

quency or ultrasonic sound is being emitted.

12 V DC input: Input for the connection of the 12 V DC out-
put of an AC adaptor 230 V ~ / 12 V approx. 300 mA.

6 V battery input: Input for connecting the plug from the
battery case.

4. Power supply
I. Battery operation
1.
Place the function selector switch in the "OFF" position
and select the desired frequency using the frequency se-
lector switch.
2.
Pull the battery case plug out of the input socket (battery
6V) on the rear side of the appliance and disconnect the
battery case from the unit.
3.
Open the cover of the battery case and insert four 'D'-size
(UM-1) alkaline batteries. Take care that the polarity of the
batteries corresponds to the markings inside the case.
4.
To fasten the battery case, carry out the above steps in
the reverse order.
5.
Place the function selector switch in the desired position,
CON or M/S.
6.
To check operation, press the test button. The LED indi-
cator lights up and a high frequency sound is emitted if
installation has been carried out correctly.
II. Mains adaptor operation
1.
Place the function selector switch in the "OFF" position
and select the desired frequency using the frequency se-
lector switch.
2.
Connect the 12 V DC output plug of an AC adaptor to the
input socket marked with IN 12 V on the rear side of the
appliance.
