4. Operation and mounting

In this article, the basic functions of gas detector
are explained. Read this chapter through carefully
so that you understand and can use all of the
functions.

4.1 Selection of mounting site

The gas detector is suitable for interior rooms in
which gas leaks can occur. It is important that the
acoustic alarm signal can be clearly heard in the
event of a gas leak.
To detect natural gas and methane, the gas detec-
tor should be placed 15-30 cm about the floor and
installed at a distance of 1-5 m from the gas oven
or gas-operated
household appliances.
Make sure that there
is an electrical outlet
for connecting the
12 V DC adapters at
most 2 m from the
gas detector's
installation site.
Recommended areas
are the kitchen,
garage and
recreational vehicle.
