Safety instructions

The warranty will lapse in case of damage caused by failure to comply with these operating
instructions. We will not assume any responsibility for consequential damage.
We do not accept any liability for personal injury or damage to property caused by incorrect
handling or failure to observe the safety instructions. The claim to warranty will lapse in such
cases.
Technical devices should only be opened by authorised experts who are familiar with the relevant safety
instructions. For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product
is not permitted.
For correct and safe operation, technicians, end consumers and service technicians need to observe all of the
safety instructions listed in these operating instructions.
Power is supplied via the 230 Volt, 50 Hz ± 10 % mains adaptor provided.
Keep the alarm set out of the reach of children; it is not a toy. (Do not install near children's beds or playpens
either.)
Never operate the alarm set in the vicinity of water or steam, or in humid ambient conditions such as near a
bathtub, washing machine, sink, swimming pool or in damp cellars.
Make sure to position the alarm set in a well ventilated area. The housing must neither be blocked nor covered.
Never place the alarm set in direct sunlight.
The alarm set should also be placed well away from heaters, ovens and other sources of heat.
Use original accessories only, otherwise you could cause irreparable damage to the equipment. In such cases
you will lose the claim to warranty. Do not use extension cables.
Only operate the alarm set with the mains adaptor supplied and connect it to the public power supply (240 V
AC, 50 Hz) only.
Make sure all the cables are laid so that nobody will trip over them and that they are not accessible for children
or pets.
The use of a dry, lint-free cloth is recommended to clean the housing. Before cleaning, make sure to unplug the
mains adaptor. Never use water (or cleaning agents) to clean the device. Danger of electric shock!
Remove the mains adaptor from the power socket and remove the battery from its compartment if the alarm
set is not being used for long periods of time.
Incorrect handling causes the warranty to lapse.
Never connect additional alarm equipment or other devices. This could cause faulty operation or irreparable
damage to the device. Loss of warranty!
Do not paint the exterior of the alarm set.
Always mount the alarm system on a stable surface.
Please ensure that no objects fall onto the housing and that no liquid enters the housing.
