Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
■ WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep the packaging
material away from children and animals.
• Unpack the device and check it for transport damage. Re-
move any stickers and fi lm. If you fi nd any damage, do not
use the device (!), but rather contact our customer service
department.
• Insert batteries into the device (see "Inserting / Changing
Batteries"). Four 1.5 V batteries of the AA type are required.

Inserting / Changing Batteries

CAUTION!
■ Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts
in the device and on the batteries are clean, and clean
them if necessary.
■ Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data
(see the "Technical Data" chapter).
■ Always replace all batteries together. Never use batteries
of different types or brands, or batteries with different ca-
pacities. When replacing batteries, ensure the correct po-
larity (+ / –).
■ Switch off the device before changing batteries.
Four 1.5 V batteries of the AA type are required.
1. Undo the screws from the battery compartment cover and
take off the battery compartment cover .
