This installation requires a ½" NPT male nipple,
recessed ⅝" behind the surface of the finished wall.
Wrap the threads on the nipple using plumbers' tape.
Install the adapter.
The adapter should extend ³⁄₁₆" - ¼" outside the
surface of the finished wall.
