SC.123.xxx five step transformer regulator
SC.124.xxx-S five step transformer regulator with sommer-
winter program and connection for door

Direction of rotation : the motor has the right direction of rotation
when the air flows out of the air diffuser. The direction of rotation
can not be changed.
Connection test : compare the current intensity in all speeds with the
label on the air curtain.
Connection of an electronic continuous speed manipulator or five
step transformer regulator
2+1 wires are necessary
Don't build bridges in the terminal boxes.
See also specific manual of the speed controls.
V. COMMISSIONING
Before starting the air curtain, check following items :
- Compare the voltage mentionned on the label of the air curtain with
the voltage of the network
- Installation and electrical connection have been properly
completed
- Check the grounding of the motor
- Measure the intensity of current and compare with the label
- Rinse the piping and dispose of irregularities
- Desaerate the heat exchanger
- Inspect if all connections and valves are open, and if there is heating
medium in the heat exchanger.
- Inspect the valves
VII. TROUBLESHOOTING
problem
ventilator doesn't turn
insufficient air delivery
too much noise
the delivered air is not hot
or not hot enough
AIR CURTAINS
possible causes
• air curtain is not switched on
• no electrical tension
• electrical wires aren't connected
• thermal contact is open
• the fan speed is too low
• the coil is filthy
• filter is filthy
• the fan speed is too high
• louvres of outlet grille are closed or
air flow is hindered
• bearing noise of the ventilator
• air in the heat exchanger
• the temp. of heating medium is too low
• insufficient water flow
• thermostat temperature is too low
• heat exchanger is filthy
- Inspect the fastenings points and the casing
- The air must be able to flow freely. Adjust the louvres of the outlet
grille.
After commissioning, hand over the installation and maintenance
manual to the owner.
VI. MAINTENANCE
Verco air curtains are produced with qualitative superior components.
Nevertheless we recommend to inspect, annually, the air curtain.
- The motor is maintenance-free.
- Inspect the operation of the motor
- Inspect all the electrical connections
- Inspect the grounding of the motor
- Inspect the heat exchanger on pollution and clean if necessary.
!! In case of cleaning the heat exchanger : don't deform or bend the
fins. When the heat exchanger is cleaned with pressured water, don't
aim the jet of water at the motor or electrical components (eventually
take down the motor).
- Inspect the valves and the heat exchanger on leakages.
- Desaerate the heat exchanger
- Filter must be checked monthly and cleaned when necessary.
In case of dust, the filter can be washed with a neutral detergent.
The frequence of cleaning depends of the dust concentration in the
room.
- Inspect the inlet and outlet grille. Clean if necessary.
- Inspect the operation of the speed controls and thermostats.
- Check all the fastenings.
