IV. INSTALLATION
see page 516, 517 and 518
IV.1. Important information
A. Bearing capacity of the installation surface
Control the reliability of the wall or ceiling construction before
installation of the air curtain.
Select the suited fastenings, according to the weight of the air curtain
and the wall or ceiling construction.
Consult a specialist or the architect.
B. Installation place
In selecting an installation place, take into account following
elements:
- minimum and maximum mounting height of the air curtain.
Consult the engineering office
IV.2. Installation
We recommend our hanging brackets to suspend the air curtain in a
good and solid way. Make sure that the air curtain is suspended in a
stabil way.
- the air curtain must be mounted waterlevel
- the air curtain should cover the complete door width
AIR CURTAINS
- the distance between the air curtain and the wall should be as tight
as possible
- the outlet grille must be placed above the door opening
- minimize the distance between the air curtain and the door
opening
Fixation points :
type G5 : warm air curtain
Mounting nuts, M10, for drop rods or surface fixing are provided on
the topside.
The air curtains with lengths 1.000 and 1.500 mm have 4 suspending
points, those with length 2.000 mm have 6 suspending points, and
those with lengths 2.500 and 3.000 mm have 8 suspending points.
type G9 : air curtain duo
Mounting nuts, M10, for drop rods or surface fixing are provided on
the topside.
The air curtains with lengths 1.000 mm have 6 suspending points,
those with length 1.500 mm have 9 suspending points, and those
with lengths 2.000, 2.500 and 3.000 mm have 12 suspending points.
IV.3. Pipe connection
The pipe connection must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Follow the local prescriptions, norms and safety requirements.
Prevent that mechanical tensions arise when connecting the water
inlet and outlet connections.
Install the pipe connections in such a manner that maintenance and
repair can easily be carried out.
The pipe connections are situated in the right hand corner, when
looking in the air flow direction, on the top side of the air curtain.
Labels on the air curtain point out the water inlet and outlet
connections.
Use pliers on the heat exchanger's pipe connections and hold steady
while firmly fixing the pipe connections, thus avoiding bending or
tearing open the water connections of the heat exchanger.
Pay attention to the labels on the casing.
Desaerate the heat exchanger.
After draining off the water, there might still be water in the
roundings of the heat exchanger. Store the air curtains frost-proof .
IV.4 Electrical installation
A. Important information
In case of maintenance, the power supply must be interrupted and
secured against restoration.
The electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified
electrician. Follow the local prescriptions, norms and safety
requirements.
The cable-laying must be done according the prevailing prescriptions.
The type and section of cable must be determinated by the electrician.
The number of conductors depends on the motor type and the speed
control. See the wiring diagrams of the motors and speed controls.
The cable-entrances must be sealed to prevent water drops from
entering.
