Structure and mode of operation
The summing box CSB4/1 has four connectors on the front side for connect-
ing up to four sensors, these connectors are marked with the word "Sensor".
The fifth connector is for connecting the charge amplifier (marked by "Charge
Amplifier"). All connectors are designed as 10−32UNF.
The sensors are switched in parallel electrically, i.e. the charges of all sensors
are added. The 1−KAB143−3, 1−KAB145−3 and 1−KAB176−2 cables from
HBM are suitable for connection.

The following applies for the measurement result: The sum of the forces
present at the sensors is measured as the charges at the inputs are added.

Tip
With sensor that have the same sensitivity, i.e. the same type, calculate the
force by dividing the measured charge by the sensor sensitivity. You can set
the sensitivity via the menu with the HBM CMD charge amplifier.
