13. Attach the pre-assembled hose accessories (see I). to the aquarium. 14. Cut the hoses (23) to length in ac-
cordance with the clearance between the filter and the aquarium and plug onto the accessories. 15. Plug the
hoses (23) onto the safety adapter (13) down to the limit stop. 16. Attach the hose locking device (11). 17.
Push the safety adapter (13) into the pump head (17) until it audibly latches. 18. Set the locking lever (12) to
„ON". 19. Assure the the nozzle pipe (25) is suspended above the water surface. 20. Rapidly press the suction
aid (16) several times consecutively until the filter tank (10) automatically fills with water (no water must be pre-
sent in the prefilter!). 21. Plug in the power supply unit (28) at the pump head (17). 22. Plug in the power cable
(30). 23. For bleeding, press the suction aid (16) once or twice and push the nozzle pipe (25) to the desired
position.

6.1
Creating a Network
Put the exterior filter into operation by plugging in the mains plug. The status LED of the pump head lights up:
• White flashing LED: Network is being sought or created.
• Blue LED: The controller has created a new network.
6.2
Connecting to the WLAN network #EHEIM Filter_XXXXXXXX
Open the network settings of the end device, for example, notebook, tablet or smartphone, and connect to the
WLAN network, #EHEIM Filter_XXXXXXXX..

Calling up the website
Open the internet browser and call up the web address http://eheimdigital.local or http://192.168.1.1.

Start the Configuration
Select the desired language in the language selection field and proceed with the initial configuration. Follow the
instructions accordingly. Detailed instructions can be downloaded via QR code on the title page or under
www.eheim.com.
