Search
There are two different ways of searching for a position within a track.
The JOG wheel (4) or SEARCH buttons
• Select the function SEARCH with the button JOG MODE (22). The button JOG MODE (22) must be lit.
• Push the SEARCH button
• Push the SEARCH button
In pause mode, the JOG wheel (4) serves to exactly locate a specific position in a track. In pause mode, it is very easy
to set the start of the beat precisely with the rotary wheel, since the track is scanned in very small steps (frame) and
the search steps can be heard when turning the JOG wheel (4).
• Switch the device to pause mode.
• Select the function PITCH BEND (button JOG MODE is not lit) or SEARCH (button JOG MODE is lit) with the button
JOG MODE (22).
• In order to search forwards, turn the wheel to the right. In order to search backwards, turn the wheel to the left.
In pause mode, the CD player switches to "stutter mode" when the JOG wheel (4) is turned. The SEARCH
buttons
CUE Function
You can select the starting point for playback using the CUE-function. Precise start-up of a track can be set. "Space"
at the beginning of a track or undesired starting sequences of a track can thus be "hidden". The starting point can be
set automatically or manually. If you push the CUE button during playback, the player returns to the previously saved
mark and goes into pause. The CUE button (3) flashes briefly when the CUE mark is set.
Setting the CUE mark
• The CUE mark is stored automatically
- at the beginning of the first track after every time the CD, USB memory stick or SD card is inserted.
- at the beginning of the track after any track selection using the buttons SKIP
- at the beginning of the title in playback at the beginning of any new title when the search function with the
SEARCH buttons (23 / 24) is terminated with in playback operation (MP3-playback).
• To set the CUE mark manually, you have to interrupt playback in the desired position with the PLAY/PAUSE button
(3). The device switches to the PAUSE function. Precise setting of the CUE start point is possible with the JOG
wheel (4). Now start playback. The CUE mark is automatically set in this position.

(24 / 23) can be used to start quick search in playback mode.
(23) or turn the JOG wheel (4) to the right during playback to start fast forwarding.
(24) or turn the JOG wheel (4) to the left during playback to start fast reversing.
(24 / 23) can still be used to perform quick search.
