2.4 Compressed air supply

Only use compressed air. Do not use air that contains chemicals, synthetic oils, salts, corrosive gas, etc., as this
may cause damage or malfunction. The compressed air should be defined by a controller.
2.5 Identification of the SQV ®
Each hose pinch valve has the technical data marked on the housing or on the type plate.

3 Installation

3.1 Preparation for installation

 Make sure that only pinch valves are installed whose pressure class, hose material, connection type
and dimensions correspond to the application requirements. See the marking of the hose pinch valve.
 Only unpack the valves from the secondary packaging at the installation site and check them for
damage. Damaged valves must not be installed.
 The hose pinch valve is suitable for all installation positions and for both flow directions.
 The control pressure must remain at full level as long as the hose pinch valve is to remain open; for
opening, the control medium in the body of the fitting must be tightened via the control element (e.g. a
solenoid valve).
3.2 Installation
Only operate the SQV armature sprion a base plate (mounted with the M5 screws provided). Lightly grease the
stainless steel mounting screws and fasten them with spring washers or tension disks.
