23. Trouble shooting
Problem
Empty screen
Unstable image
Image too bright
A whistling sound can be heard
No sound on monitor / outdoor station
Dark monitor image during twilight /
darkness
The monitor image displays a bright back-
ground, however the visitor is displayed dark
Tamper alarm has been triggered
The batteries in the outdoor station go flat very
quickly
The camera image cannot be switched on
manually
No intercom function / "Low battery" is
displayed on the screen
Additional doorbell only rings when the upper
doorbell button is pressed

Cause
Outdoor station has no power
The devices are not paired with each other
Outdoor station is too far apart
Wireless connection is blocked
Interference with wireless signal
Monitor is switched off
Strong light source in camera view
Overexposure due to strong light source
It is produced by acoustic feedbackg
The volume on monitor / outdoor station is too low or
is switched off
The outdoor station requires additional lighting to be
able to display a good image
There is too much backlighting in the background
Outdoor station with power supply has been removed
from the protective cover
Outdoor station (operated with batteries) is in energy
consumption mode
Outdoor station (operated with batteries) is in energy-
saving mode
Batteries in outdoor station are too low / almost
empty
An additional doorbell can only be connected to the
upper doorbell button
Remedy
Check the mains adapter, cable connections and batteries
Remove the protective foil from the battery of the mobile unit
See chapter 13.2
Reduce the distance between the devices
Remove large objects or change the location of the stations
Remove sources of interference from the devices, note the
information about "wireless range" in section 7 here
Switch the monitor on (see section 10)
Relocate the outdoor station
Relocate the outdoor station or change its alignment
Place the stations further apart
Reduce the volume on the monitor
Adjust the volume / ring duration for the monitor / outdoor
station in the menu of the monitor
Install additional lighting
Install additional lighting or change the location of the outdoor
station
To switch off the tamper alarm, press the on/off button
[13]or the talk button [12] on the monitor.
Switch the outdoor station to energy-saving mode (see note
under section 11.2)
Switch the door intercom to energy consumption mode (see note
under section 11.2, Note: the batteries will go flat very quickly)
Replace the batteries
