10. Using the monitor for the first time
!
To switch on, press and hold the on/off button
monitor [1] for approx. 5 seconds until the start screen appears.
The start screen switches off again automatically after approx. 20
seconds.
!
When the monitor is switched on, the start screen can be turned on
for approx. 20 seconds at any time by pressing a button
[8/9/10/11/12/13].
!
If you wish the monitor to be portable, insert the optional AKKU-
DVT67M lithium battery into the battery compartment [3], paying
attention to the correct polarity.
!
If the battery is inserted, the battery charge display
right of the start screen [2] indicates the charge status of the
monitor. During mains operation, the battery charge display
shows loading (even if no battery is inserted).
!
To switch the monitor off, press and hold the on/off button
[13] on the monitor with the screen on for approx. 5 seconds,
until the display on the screen disappears.
Note:
When the monitor is switched off:
#
it does not respond to a ring on the door intercom and
#
no camera image is saved
#
but if an optional signal generator is connected, it will still
respond to a ring
#
approx. 6 seconds after a ring, a double tone on the outdoor
station can be heard as a signal that there is no mobile unit to
respond when no additional monitor is connected or the
additional monitor is also switched off.
11. Basic functions
