c) Clearing jammed material
Warning! Risk of injury! Remove the battery pack (3) from the battery compartment before clearing
jammed material from the blades.
Warning! Risk of cuts! Wear protective gloves before/while clearing jammed material the blades.
Constant jamming may be caused by blunt blades. Sharpen and lubricate the blades.
To prevent getting the blades jammed, avoid twisting the product if it becomes stuck in a bush. This is how
the blade can become cracked and the teeth bent. Instead, slowly and steadily work the way through the
bush until you can get the blade unstuck.
• Use a soft brush/dowel to remove the jammed material from the blade.
d) Grass shearing
Use the grass shear blade (7). Refer to section 7 for assembly instructions.
1. Adjust the handle angle to 0°
2. Position the blade parallel to the ground (Fig. 12).
3. Move the product in a forward/backward motion (Fig. 12).
Fig. 12
Do not sweep the product from side to side as this does not allow the blade to cut properly.
Do not shear too close to dirt, sand or gravel as this quickly wears down the blade and increases the risk
of ejection of foreign objects e.g. small stones.
