Disassembling the unit

1. Disconnect the pump from the power source
○ Disconnect any tubing.
2. Unscrew the nozzle tube and diverter valve or stepped
hose adapter from the filter kit.
3. Open the engagement hooks on both sides of the filter
housing and remove the top strainer casing.
4. Remove the top filter foam, the pump, the filter foam,
and the gravel bags and biomedia from the bottom
strainer casing.

5. Unscrew the pump lid or the pump housing and remove
the impeller.
6. Use a brush to clean the impeller and the inside of the
pump housing.
7. Rinse the filter foam, gravel bags and biomedia under
running water.
● Check parts for damages such as cracked rotor,
cracks in the magnet, and broken plastics. Replace
parts if necessary.
8. Reassemble in the reverse order.
