Measuring the Room Height
Now you have to determine to what length the tubular section (A)
is to be sawn off. To do this, enlist the assistance of a second person
and use suitable measuring instruments to determine the exact room
height h between the two marked fastening points X (5).
ATTENTION:
The room height h must be measured exactly to 1 mm otherwise the
tubular section cannot be sawn accurately enough.
Calculating the Length of the Tubular
Section
Deduct 5.1 cm from the measured room height h . The result is the
length L of tubular section you need.
Example:

Sawing the Tubular Section
Now lay the tubular section (A) flat and with the bulge facing
upwards on the floor. Measure the calculated length L from the end
with the cut-out for the cables and mark it (7).
Place the tubular section in the sawing aid, fix the tubular section and
saw it with the hack saw at a right angle to the mark (8).
Deburr the saw edge carefully with the file.
