Operating instructions Pneumatic-hydraulic pump
2.2 Additional safety requirements for the handling of the Pneumatic-hydraulic pump
Observe all the following safety rules. They are of the maximum importance for your own safety and the safety of others. In addition to the indications in
this chapter, observe also the prescriptions in all other sections of the manual.
The pump and the machine on which the pump is installed must be used exclusively by people over 18 years of age who have read this manual
and have a thorough knowledge of the machine and the pump.
Minors under 16 years of age may only use the pump under supervision of an adult who is authorized to use the pump.
Safety mechanisms must not be removed or deactivated.
When connecting the pump follow the prescriptions in chapter 5 „Installation and Commissioning" and always use certified hoses and couplings.
The system operating pressure must not exceed the lowest value of the nominal operating pressure of the system components.
Electrical cables and hydraulic hoses must not be bent. Be aware of tripping hazards.
Make sure that all system components are protected against external harmful effects such as excessive heat (
components, sharp edges and corrosive chemicals.
Disconnect the air supply when the pump is not used.
For commissioning, cleaning, maintenance, change of parts, and tool changes, make sure that the equipment is without pressure. (Interruption of
air supply)
The pump is equipped with a hydraulic relief valve, adjusted in the factory to a maximum operating pressure. We strongly advise you NOT to
change the default settings of the hydraulic relief valve. Modifications made by unskilled personnel, can result in malfunctions, system damage
and/or injuries.
The pump must be set into operation exclusively using feet. It is potentially dangerous to operate the pump with any other part of the body.
Do not attempt to operate the pump by standing on the treadle, use only light foot pressure to operate the pump mechanism.
For damages, provoked by improper installation or non-compliance of the safety requirements, häwa GmbH can not be made liable.

3. Handling of the machine

The Pneumatic-hydraulic pump is state-of-the-art and in accordance with the relevant safety regulations at time of placing on the market, and with
regards to its intended application.
The Pneumatic-hydraulic pump holds an EC-certificate of conformance (see attachment), and is therefore in conformance with the
machinery directive 2006/42/EC.
We reserve technical modifications as part of further developments.

3.1 Intended use

This pneumatic-hydraulic pump is to be used with cylinders and tools of single effect.
For double-acting hydraulic devices a directional control valve must be mounted between pump and user.
These components are not specifically designed for lifting and moving people, agri-food machinery, certain types of mobile machinery or special work
environments such as: explosive, flammable or corrosive.

3.2 Predictable misuse / improper handling

With every modification of the machine and with predictable misuse or improper handling of the pump the EC-certificate of conformance ceases to
exist and with that the operating license.
Predictable misuse / improper handling:
Outdoor use
Incorrectly executed repairs
Non-intended use
50° C), open fire, mobile machine
