ou hors circuit (ON ou I : l´appareil est mis en marche, OFF ou O : l´appareil est arrêté).

Now adjust the sound to the room
acoustics with the equalizer's con-
trollers (2). In the central position of the
controller, adjustable on a gradient, the
relevant frequency is not affected. If you
push the controller upward, the relevant
frequency will play louder; push the
controller downward and the relevant
frequency plays more quietly. The RANK
switch (3) increases or decreases the
effective range of the equalizer con-
troller (2). In position +/-6 the effective
range is small, in position +/-12 it's
large. The switching position is indicat-
ed by the associated LEDs.
A comparison of the linear setting of the
controller is always possible via the EQ
ON switch (6).
The L.CUT switch (4) can be pressed to
fade out low frequency disturbances.
This activates a high-pass filter that
removes such disturbances. If there are
no low frequency disturbances, this
switch should stay deactivated so that
there is no loss in the bass signal.
With the LEVEL controller (5), adjust-
ment is finalized for the output level on
the connected amplifier.
Since human hearing is less sensitive to
low and high frequencies than with mid-
dle frequencies, you should not make
extreme settings with the equalizer con-
trollers (2) since an overloading of the
speakers and/or amplifier can occur
very easily (the CLIP LEDs (7) shine in
this case). This can be heard by distor-
tions during playback and can very eas-
ily damage the speakers and/or amplifi-
er. Additionally, sound controllers, e.g.
on the mixer or amplifier, should be left
in the central position for this reason.
EQ ON active (LED shines):
The audio signal will be affected.
EQ ON not active (LED does not
shine):
The audio signal will not be affected.
If the L.CUT switch (4) is pressed, the
related red LED shines.
If the controller is pushed up, the total
volume will increase. If the controller is
pushed down, the total volume will
decrease.
