NETWORKS AND CONNECTIVITY

EVO-2-TOUCH offers the possibility to interface
in networks of the type:
1. RS485 network with monitoring software
GARDA. See figure 11.1  p. 114
7.1 CONNECTION TO MONITORING SYSTEM (GARDA SOLUTION)
Through the RS485 serial port it is possible to
connect the EVO controllers (up to 247 hydronic
indoor units) to a management software pro-
gramme that uses the MODBUS RTU standard
as communication protocol with the following
features:
Ū Settable baud rate (default: 9600);
Ū no parity
Ū 8 data bits
Ū 1 stop bit
Within a monitoring network, each EVO control-
ler behaves like a SLAVE towards the centralised
management system that constitutes the MAS-
TER of the (see figure) 11.1  p. 114 network.
Once you have wired the network, you must
configure each EVO controller. Enter the list of
network and connection parameters (accessible
via the key in the USER MENU) and set the RS485
SETUP parameters as follows:
Ū MST/SLV = "Slave from SPV"
Ū Protocol = "Modbus"
Ū Serial address = set a value from 1 to 255
