2.2
Fundamental dangers/residual risks
The following section specifies residual risks that can arise from the Tool24
PickOne goods issue system even if it is used as intended. To reduce the risk
of injuries and damage to property and to avoid hazardous situations, you
must observe the safety information listed here and in the other sections of
this manual.
2.2.1
Dangers resulting from electric current
DANGER!
Risk of death from electric shock!
If you come into contact with live parts, there is a risk of immediate death
as a result of an electric shock. Any damage to the isolation or individual
components can pose a risk of death.
Allow work on electrical equipment to be carried out only by
qualified electricians.
If the isolation becomes damaged, immediately disconnect
the power supply and arrange for repairs to be carried out.
Before starting work on active parts of electrical systems
and equipment, make sure that the power supply has been
disconnected and ensure that it is not switched back on for
the duration of the work. Observe the five safety rules:
Disconnect the power supply.
Secure it so that it cannot be turned back on
inadvertently.
Check that the system is not live.
Earth and short circuit the system.
Cover or cordon off adjacent live parts.
Never bypass fuses or render them ineffective. When you
replace fuses, make sure that the correct current strength
specification is observed.
Do not drive over, trap, crush, or otherwise stress the cable.
Make sure that the cable does not come into contact with
liquids or heat.
Keep the socket accessible.
Keep moisture away from live parts. This can result in a short
circuit.
