When using vibration monitors, these must not deactivate the smoke exhaust fan in a smoke extraction
situation!

– Installation of a vibration monitor
The vibration monitor (on-site) must be installed on the casing of the fan and it must not lie in the turning range zone
of the impeller.
The air gap (see Fig .16) must not be affected by the installation of the vibration monitor!
– Selection of vibration dampers
In order to optimally dampen the vibrations created by the rotating components in the fan, the correct selection of
the vibration damper is crucial. The design is based on the determined total mass of the fan incl. mounting parts to
be dampened. In this respect, the individual net weights of the components must be added together.

3 .10 Centre of gravity position

A motor protrusion arises depending on the size and motor power and thus an unbalanced centre of gravity outside of
the casing. An extension duct (Type VR..) must be used (Fig.17). to determine the centre of gravity. The weight infor-
mation for the respective types can be found on the type plate!

The following tightening torques for connection of mounting nuts and screws (grade 8.8) are to be used:
The impeller mounting on the motor shaft is secured against loosening at the factory with liquid screw securer .
