11. Decommissioning

The device has been designed in such a way that it
will automatically switch off once the set time has
elapsed. A corresponding function has been integrat-
ed in form of a timer (see above).
After the cleaning cycle has been completed, turn the
ventilation level adjuster and the intensity level ad-
juster back to "0".
Switch the device off by pressing the red button at the
power switch (fig. p. 4 (1)). The indicator lights (op-
erating indicator and ionisation indicator) will go out.
Disconnect the odour neutraliser from the mains af-
terwards.

In order to ensure a correct functioning and trouble-
free operation of the device, it must be regularly
cleaned and maintained.
The frequency and type of the maintenance work es-
sentially depends on the operating environment as
well as on how the odour neutraliser is used and for
what periods of time.
In the course of time, dust and moisture gather on the
assemblies which can impair the functioning and the
performance of the device.
In rooms with a high level of dust and contamination
or after post-fire restorations (high level of humid-
ity), you should already check if there is any need for
maintenance after only a few uses of the device.
Maintenance intervals can span several months in dry
environments such as hotels or within the scope of
car maintenance.

Criteria for determining the maintenance interval

The device is in operation:
Independent of the described conditions of use, the
following signs indicate that the device should un-
dergo maintenance:
Operating manual – AirgoPro 8 odour neutraliser
often for many hours without interruption
on many days in any month
in heavily-polluted rooms
in moist rooms
The noise level coming from the fan is higher
than normal.
heavily-polluted air filters
polluted electrode (typical sign: the hissing
sound produced during the singlet oxygen
generation is only barely audible)
