1 Operating Elements and Connections

1.1 Front panel

– for selecting the transmission channel, sepa -
rately for both receiving units
1. In the respective operating panel, press the

key
or
(for a minimum of 1 s): on the dis-
play the indication RX1 or RX2 (b) flashes.
2. As long as the indication keeps flashing (for
approx. 3 s after pressing a key), the channel
can be selected: With the key
are scanned in ascending order, with the key
M
, they are scanned in descending order.
– for activating/deactivating the lock mode for
both receiving units together
1. To activate the lock mode, in one of the oper -
ating panels, keep the keys
simultaneously until LOCK (a) is displayed: In
this case, the transmission channels cannot
be changed any more.
2. To deactivate the lock mode, in one of the
operating panels, keep the keys
pressed simultaneously until the insertion
LOCK disappears.
7 Multifunction LC display (see fig. 3)
– for both receiving units:
a insertion LOCK with activated lock mode: in
the lock mode it is not possible to change the
transmission channels adjusted for both
receiving units
– for receiving unit 1 and receiving unit 2 respec-
tively:
b indication RX1 (for receiving unit 1) or RX2
(for receiving unit 2): flashes when the chan-
nel adjusting mode has been activated for the
respective receiving unit
c indication RF for the receiving power of the
radio signal: the more segments are dis-
played, the better is the reception
d indication AF for the volume of the audio sig-
nal received [independent of the volume con-
trols (5)]: the more segments are displayed,
the higher the volume level

1.2 Rear panel

8 Output of the master signal of the two receiving
units (6.3 mm jack, unbal.) for connection to a line
input of a mixer/amplifier
9 Power supply jack for connecting the power supply
unit
10 BNC jacks for connecting the antennas (4)
11 Balanced XLR outputs CH. 1 and CH. 2, respec-
tively for the output signal of receiving unit 1 and
the output signal of receiving unit 2, for connection
to two balanced microphone inputs of a mixer/
amplifier
12 Squelch controls CH. 1 and CH. 2, respectively for
receiving unit 1 and receiving unit 2, for adjusting
the threshold for the noise suppression

2 Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit) correspond
to all relevant directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
WARNING The power supply unit is supplied with
hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling may cause an

electric shock hazard.
Please observe the following items in any case:

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not operate the receiver and immediately dis-
connect the power supply unit from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the units or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must be replaced by the manufacturer or skilled
personnel only.
G
Never pull the mains cable of the power supply unit
for disconnecting the mains plug from the socket,
always seize the plug.
