Installation and connection
D When transporting by hand: Note the weight of the appliance and wear protective gloves!
D Follow the local technical regulations for kitchens.
D Installations must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, following
accepted technical regulations.
D Let customer services set up and install the appliance and provide instruction.
8.1
Installation/assembly
D Installation/assembly
− horizontally and vibration free,
− not on heated and burnable surfaces,
− not against flammable walls,
− not over thermal equipment, such as cooking, roasting, and deep‐frying equipment!
D Keep to the appropriate distances to prevent the walls and table tops from overheating:
− Between heated bridge and walls = 10 cm.
− Between heater and table top = 35 cm (version with tubular heating element) or 40 cm
(version with infrared lamp).
. Remove protective foil from appliance. Remove residual adhesive with cleaner's naphtha.
8.2
Electrical connection
D Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician‐
− according to the applicable VDE 0100 directives
− and the directives of the responsible power supply company.
D For safety reasons, we recommend installing a 10 mA residual‐current circuit breaker
(RCCB).‐ >
D Make sure that the earth conductor system for the in‐house electrical installation is installed
according to regulations.
D The flexible mains connection must be at least H 07 RN‐F.
D The mains plug must be easily accessible with devices with mains plugs!
D On appliances with a fixed connection, an electrical switch (main switch) must be connected
between the appliance and power source and be easily accessible! The switch must effec
tively disconnect the appliance at all poles from the mains. The contact opening must be at
least 3 mm.
D Observe the data on the type plate when making the electrical connection.
D Have the appliance connected by a professional‐ electrician to the equipotential bonding sys
tem. Its efficiency must be checked in accordance with VDE 0190.
D Set the switch of the appliance to OFF, only then should you plug the mains plug into a cor
rectly installed plug socket with earth conductor!
