If you have checked the cable connections, reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Turn the INPUT LEVEL (7) counter-clockwise to minimum.
Flick the switch X OVER SELECT (3) for the channels CH3/H4 into the position LP and set the control LP ADJUST
(4) to 100 Hz.
The required deep-pass filter for the subwoofer is set with this.
Flick the switch X OVER SELECT (3) for the channels CH1/CH2 into the position HP and set the control HP
ADJUST (5) to 100 Hz.
You can use this to set the required high-pass filter for relief of the satellite loudspeakers of deep bass
frequencies.
Switch on your car radio.
The indicator LED POWER (11) lights up. If the indicator LED PROTECTION (11) lights up, an error has
occurred. The amplifier has to be switched off immediately. In such a case, check all connections and the
loudspeakers. If you cannot detect an error, please consult a specialist.
If the indicator POWER (11) lights up, set the volume of the car radio to about 75% of the maximum volume.
Now use the INPUT LEVEL (7) control for CH1/CH2 to adjust the maximum volume of the satellite loudspeakers
to an acceptable level. If you use several amplifiers, adjust the volumes of the various amplifiers to one another.
Please keep in mind that the maximum volume depends on the power capacity of the loudspeakers and amplifier.
Excessive volume can damage the loudspeakers and amplifier. Overloading can easily be heard through
distortion.
Using the INPUT LEVEL (7) control for CH3/CH4, adjust the volume of the subwoofer now to the volume of the
satellite loudspeakers.
The subwoofer should not drone or be able to be heard separately. It should merely support the satellite
loudspeakers in the deep-bass range. The loudspeaker relationship between the subwoofer and satellite
loudspeakers can also be controlled subsequently by the fader regulator of the car radio from the driver's seat
when the car radio has been connected through four pre-amplifier outputs.
Then, set a medium volume level with the volume control of the car radio.
From now, the total volume is only to be adjusted by the volume control unit of the car radio.
To achieve optimum sound, you can slightly adjust the set cut-off frequencies using the controls HP ADJUST (5)
and LP ADJUST (4).
Pay attention here also to clean bass playback. Try out also changing the polarity of the loudspeaker cables on
the subwoofer. Often, the reverse terminal position results in a better bass playback (depending on the place of
installation of the subwoofer).
If the deep-base playback is too weak, you can adapt it with the BASS BOOST (6) control for CH3/CH4 (see "the
bass boost switch of the amplifier").
