5 Configuring the System via the Menus

For each of the two receiver units, a separate con-
figuration menu is available Each configuration
menu is operated by means of the corresponding
buttons SET,
and
on the right-hand and left-hand side of the dis-
play (1) respectively Each menu consists of two
sections: RX (settings for the receiver unit) and
TX (settings for the transmitter) The menu struc-
ture can be found on page 2 (as way of an exam-
ple for receiver unit 2)
1) To call up the menu, keep the button
SET pressed for approx 2 seconds
briefly appear on the display; then the selec-
tion mode for the menu section will be acti-
vated: The menu section RX is selected (
starts flashing) To go to the menu section TX,
press the button
return to the section RX, press the button
2) When the menu section has been selected,
press the button SET repeatedly until the menu
item desired has been reached

depending on the receiver unit for which the
menu has been called up (exception: "Con-
figuring the REMOSET function")
3) To change a setting, use the button

Note: Setting the radio frequency requires two
steps; therefore, the setting will be saved after the
second step (after the channel has been selected or
the last three digits of the frequency have been set)

5.1 Menu section RX (receiver unit)

The menu section RX is indicated by
the button SET to select the menu item desired
The order of the two functions for frequency set-
ting (chapter 5 1 1 and chapter 5 1 2) depends
on which of the two functions has been most
recently used

5.1.1 Selecting a frequency from a group

The radio frequency can be selected from a group
of predefined frequencies (channels) Six groups
are available; the number of channels per group
will
varies (
 chapter 9 1)
It is recommended to select channels from the
same group for the two receiver units This also
applies to all further wireless systems with trans-
mitters RU-850... / 5 that are used in parallel The
number of channels that can be used in parallel
depends on the conditions at the place of appli-
cation (e g on interference due to transmitters of
other wireless systems or high-frequency sources
such as fluorescent lamps) The scan function
(
 chapter 5 1 3) can be used for the selection
of interference-free channels
1) The character "G" starts flashing: Use the
button

2) The characters "CH" start flashing: Use the

5.1.2 Setting the frequency directly

choice of 1441 available radio frequencies:
1) The first three digits of the frequency shown

2) The last three digits of the frequency shown

press SET to save the frequency
If the frequency is identical to the fre-
