9. Flight preparation
a) Flight battery charging
• Remove the flight battery from the quadrocopter
before charging.
• A suitable USB mains unit or USB cigarette lighter
adapter (neither enclosed) may be used for power
supply to the enclosed USB charging cable (G). The
output current must be at least 500 mA.
• Alternatively, the USB port of a computer or USB hub
with a dedicated mains unit that can supply a current
of 500 mA per port can be used.
• Connect the USB charging cable from the delivery to the USB power supply with its USB plug (as shown above in
Fig. 1, e.g. a USB mains unit or computer USB port). Then connect the small plug of the USB charging cable to the
corresponding socket of the flight battery. Observe proper alignment of the plug (the plug contour must match the
socket of the charging cable).
• If the battery is not defective (high-Ohmic/interrupted) and power supply is warranted, charging commences. This
is signalled by the red LED in the USB charger.
• The following LED displays are possible:
- LED is permanently lit: The battery is being charged
- LED is off: The battery is full or fully charged
b) Inserting batteries into transmitter
Open the battery compartment (10) at the bottom of the transmitter with the supplied screwdriver (H). Insert 4 x 1.5 V
batteries type AAA into the battery compartment. Please observe correct polarity (+/-) as indicated in the battery
compartment. See illustration Fig. 2.
