13. USB, card and AUX IN operation
You can play back MP3 files on the device if they are saved on a USB stick, another
USB device or an SD card.
You can also play back CDs from another device that is connected to the AUX IN
connection.
13.1. Using memory media
There are connections for a USB stick or another USB device (MP3 player), SD card
and an AUX IN slot on the front of the device.
CAUTION!
Risk of damage!
Extension cables or other external storage media such
as external hard drives cannot be operated via the USB
connection.
The USB connection is only designed for using USB
memory sticks.
13.1.1. USB operation
Switch the device on by pressing .
If necessary, press the FUNCTION button repeatedly until the operating mode
USB appears on the display.
Insert a USB device.
USB appears at the top of the display and below it the number of the track on
the storage medium and playback begins.
13.1.2. Card operation
Switch the device on by pressing .
If necessary, press the FUNCTION button until the operating mode
SD appears on the display.
Insert an SD memory card into the card slot. Ensure that the diagonally notched
corner is at the front right and the contacts are underneath.
CARD appears at the top of the display and below it the number of the track on
the storage medium and playback begins.
In order to remove the card from the slot once playback has been completed,
carefully pull the card out of the slot.
