Installing the working load

Place the centre of gravity of the working load as close as possible to the
S
centre of the piston rod.
Move the piston rod into the retracted end position.
S
Fasten the working load to the retracted
S
piston rod.
Use the following elements:
S
only the thread of the piston rod.
the pivot on the piston rod for
counterholding (only in the retracted
end position). The maximum torque
on the bearing must not exceed 5 Nm.
A compensating component that is backlash−free in an axial direction.
This will prevent lateral loads on the piston rod. Lateral loads produce false
measuring results and may damage the measuring system.

Fitting electric components

Note
Strong magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of the electric cylinder
(e. g. with welding systems) will cause permanent magnetization of the ferro
magnetic parts. As a result, the switching points of the proximity switches will
be permanently shifted or the magnetically coded measuring tape aA will lose
its properties.
S Make sure that the DNCE−LAS is screened against strong electromagnetic
interference (e. g. with a transformer plate).
S Avoid external influence caused by magnetic or ferritic parts in the vicinity of
the reference switch and the sensor measuring system.
Note
S Take notice of the warnings and notices on the electrical installation in the
description of the SFC−LACI controller.
