USING THE FAN-HEATER

17
Before using the fan-heater, check that the operating switch is set to 0
(off). When using the fan-heater for the first time, or when you want to
reset the required temperature, turn the thermostat knob to maximum (as
far as it will go clockwise). Make sure that the power socket you intend
using corresponds with the required power for the fan-heater (see the
type plate on the fan-heater). Then insert the plug into the power socket.
Now use the operating knob to set the fan-heater to the operating
position you want: fan only, low power or full power.

THERMOSTAT

The thermostat maintains the temperature at the level you want. The
required level is set using the thermostat knob on the left of the operating
panel (turn the knob as far as it will go clockwise) and then switch the
fan-heater on. When the temperature in the room has reached the level
you want, turn the thermostat knob slowly anticlockwise until you hear a
soft click; leave the knob set at that point. The fan-heater will now
automatically maintain the temperature at that level. This is done by
switching the heating elements on and off when the temperature rises
too much and then fall again.
IMPORTANT: The fan will keep running when the thermostat has
switched the heating elements off. This way, the fan-heater keeps the air
in the room moving and can therefore sense when the air cools down.
