- For any future resale of this product outside of
the country it is initially intended for, the reseller
must furnish these instructions drafted in the
language of the country where this product is to
be used.
- Working at heights carries risks and only an
individual in perfect health and good physical
condition should undertake it and be aware of
possible emergency situations.
- This equipment constitutes a vital safety device;
incorrect use may lead to mortal danger for the
user in the event of a fall.
- You are reminded that with a fall arrest system,
only an EN361 fall arrest harness can be used to
secure the body.
- It is recommended that you only assign this
product individually to one single user.
- This product should only be used by a trained
and experienced person or under the surveillance

lanyard.
DESCRIPTION
The work positioning line is an adjustable line intended to
connect the lateral rings of a work-positioning belt to a
structure that can be a pole, mast, tree ... in order to free
the hands of the user.
The lanyard [A], is made of braided rope in a polyamide
sleeve (NDLR), single out of three 0.12 mm polyamide
strands (NL2012... / NRL92, out of 30 mm wide polyester
strap (NLS2R...), out of steel cable covered by a braided
polyamide sleeve (NEL...)
The buckles are sewn to the lanyards of braided cord in a
sleeve and to the strap lanyards. They are spliced to the
three strand lines and coupled to the steel reinforced lines.
The
lanyard
is
delivered
connectors with manual locking or with connectors with
automatic locking [B and C] according to the references.
The connectors can be of steel or aluminum alloy according
to the models.
The NRL92 lanyard can be delivered in a sleeve (option:
NRL92G) to protect it from wear in case of intensive use.
The useable length of the lanyard is adjustable either by
buckle or by self-gripping jaws (NLR92-NEL...)
The total length of the entire lanyard and connectors is
equal to 2 meters except for the reinforced lanyards that
exist in lengths of 3, 4 and 5 meters.
The static resistance of the lanyard is greater than 15 kN.
The NEL lanyard reinforced with a steel cable is especially
made to be used in cases using powerful cutting or
crushing tools (ex: chainsaw)
without
connectors,

INSPECTIONS:
- In case of doubt about the reliability of the
equipment, do not use it before obtaining written
authorization from a person who is competent to
decide on its reuse.
- When combining the fall arrest system with other
safety components, verify the compatibility of
each of the components and make sure to apply
all recommendations from product notices and
the applicable standards relative to fall arrest
systems. Ensure in particular that the safety
functions of one of the components are not
affected by the safety functions of another
component and that they do not interfere with
each other.
- Before each use of a fall arrest system, it is
imperative to verify the free fall space
(clearance) required under the user, in such a
manner that in the event of a fall, there is no
collision either with the ground or with a fixed or
moving obstacle that is found within the
trajectory.
- Check, by visual inspection, before, during and
after use, that the equipment is in good condition
and for the absence of defects: condition of the
lanyards, seams, and connectors.
lack of wear, cuts, fraying, indications of breaks,
traces of oxidation or discoloration, and ensure
the legibility of markings, (identification and/or
date of validity). Check that the connectors are
in
clean
condition
functioning.
UTILIZATION:
A work-positioning lanyard can only be used to
arrest falls. It may be necessary to use it fully
with safety devices to protect against falls from
height, of the collective or individual type.
Never position this work-positioning lanyard
around a structure small diameter or of lesser
resistance (R> 10kN) and protect it from sharp
stops.
The anchoring point for the lanyard should be at
the user's waist level or above; the lanyard
should be maintained taut and the free play
limited to 0.60 m maximum.
- During utilization, verify on a regular basis the
adjustment and fastening element of the
harness, and its belt, if it is equipped with one.
These components must be protected against any
environmental stresses: mechanical stresses
(impacts, sudden stops...), chemical stresses
(acids, bases, solvents...) electrical stresses
(short-circuits, electrical arcs...) or thermal
stresses (hot surfaces, torches...)
- The fall arrest system must necessarily be
connected to the dorsal D-ring of the harness, or
to the extremity of the extender strap, if it is
equipped with such, or to the two sternum rings
simultaneously. These points are identified by
the letter A (single connections) or A/2 (it is
required to connect these points together).
- Utilization of the harness with a fall arrest sub-
system must be compatible with the instructions
