Troubleshooting Guide

Problem . . .
Unit will not run
Ingredients will not mix
properly
Unit does not respond
to button commands
Error message
appears in LCD
display
Maintenance
Inspect the blender and its various parts and replace as follows:
Unplug the blender and remove the jar from the base, and then inspect the jar
Daily
and cutter assembly for wear, nicks, or broken blades. Replace if necessary.
See "Replacement Parts" below. If the cutter assembly blades are loose, discontinue
use immediately. Do not attempt to repair or tighten the cutter assembly.
Unplug the blender, and then inspect the power cord insulation and power plug
Weekly
for cracks. Inspect sealing gasket for cracking and leaking of fluids under unit.
Refer to "Requesting Assistance or Service" for repair or replacement.
Replace the jar and cutter assembly at least once a year or sooner if the cutter assembly
Yearly
appears worn or damaged. See "Replacement Parts" below.
NOTE: Do not operate this blender if it malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return blender to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
Solution . . .
• Check to see if unit is securely plugged into an electric outlet.
• Check to see if the fuse for the electric outlet has blown or if a
circuit breaker has tripped.
• Check to see if the power switch is in the "ON" position.
• Refer to the Programming section and reset factory default settings.
• Check to see if the jar is securely seated on the base.
• Check to see if enough liquid has been added to the ingredients.
Mixture should be fluid and free-running at all times.
• The selected cycle does not match the appropriate profile (see
chart in the "Program Cycle" section).
• Solid pieces are too large. Pieces should not exceed 1" cubes.
• Jar is too full. Do not fill past highest graduation marking.
• Cutters are not sharp or are damaged. Inspect jar and cutter
assembly daily. Replace jar and cutter assembly at least every 12
months or sooner if the cutter assembly appears worn or damaged.
• Turn the power off and back on using the power switch to reset the
controls.
• Turn the power off and back on using the power switch. If the error
message still appears, the unit will need to be serviced.
