• Do not use the device in the case of acute or chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of electronic monitoring devices (such as heart monitors or
electrocardiograph machines).
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of devices that cause unprotected emission of electromag-
netic energy.
• Do not use the device near to the heart. This can increase the risk of ventricular fibril lation and
induce cardiac arrest.
Before using the device, consult your doctor if any of the following apply to you:
• If you have an acute medical condition, in particular if you suspect or have been di agnosed with
high blood pressure, a blood coagulation disorder, propensity to thromboembolic conditions or
in the case of malignant neoplasms.
• If you have any skin conditions.
• If you have unexplained chronic pain in any part of the body.
• If you have Diabetes.
• If you have any sensory impairment that reduces the feeling of pain (e.g. metabolic disorders).
• If you are receiving medical treatment.
• In the event of complaints linked to the stimulation treatment.
• If you suffer from persistently irritated skin due to long-term stimulation at the same electrode site.
WARNING
• Hold the device away from sources of heat and do not use it in close proximity (approx. 1 m)
to shortwave or microwave devices (e.g. mobile phones), as doing so can result in unpleasant
current peaks.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
• Protect the device from dust, dirt and humidity.
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
• If the device does not work properly, or you feel unwell or experience pain, stop using it imme-
diately.
• The device is suitable for self-treatment.
• Switch off the device or the respective channel first before removing or relocating the electrodes
to prevent unintentional stimulation.
• Do not modify the device.
• Do not modify electrodes (e.g. by cutting them). This increases the current density, which is poten-
tially hazardous (max. recommended output value for the electrodes is 9 mA/cm², an effective
current density beyond 2 mA/cm² requires increased awareness).
• Do not use the device whilst asleep, driving a vehicle or operating machinery.
• Do not use any sharp objects such as the tip of a pencil or a ballpoint pen to operate the buttons.
• Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of other electronic devices or between other elec-
tronic devices. If this cannot be avoided, before using the device you must check that it functions
correctly in the intended location.
• This device is subject to special precautionary measures with regard to EMC and must be installed
and commissioned in accordance with these.
• The device has been thoroughly tested and checked to guarantee that it performs and functions
correctly.
• Do not use any other high-frequency communication devices or RFID systems in the vicinity of
the device.
• Do not use while undertaking any activity where an unexpected reaction (e.g. strong muscle con-
tractions even at low intensity) could be dangerous.
• Ensure that no metallic objects can come into contact with the electrode surfaces during stimula-
tion. If you are wearing jewelry or have piercings in the area to be treated, these must be removed
before using the device. Failure to do so could result in spot burns.
• Keep the device away from children to prevent potential risks.
4
• Make sure not to confuse the connection cables and their contacts with your head phones or
other devices. Do not connect the cuffs to other devices.
• Do not use the device whilst using other devices that transmit electrical impulses into your body.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of highly flammable substances, gases or explo sives.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries. Always use the same battery types.
• Do not apply greasy creams or lotions to the skin before using the device. This may cause
unpleasant current peaks. You can use water or electrode gel to improve the contact between
your feet and the electrodes.
Precautions
• Use the device on humans only.
• Use the device for the purpose it was developed for only and in the manner specified in these
instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous.
• The device is intended for external use only.
• The long-term effects of chronic electrostimulation are unknown.
• Electrical muscle stimulation devices have no healing effect.
• Electrostimulation or the electrodes may cause skin irritation in sensitive persons.
• Only use the device with the lower-leg cuffs included in delivery. Do not use the device with cuffs
or electrodes from other manufacturers.

Possible side effects

• The possible side effects are: skin irritation, inflammation and burns beneath the elec trodes.
Electric shock (for use with power adapter, without batteries)
WARNING
As with every electrical device, use the EMS circulation stimulator carefully and cau tiously in order to
avoid hazards due to electric shock.
The device should therefore
• only be used with the supplied power adapter and at the voltage specified on the power adapter,
• never be used if it or its accessories show visible signs of damage,
• not be used during a storm.
In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from
the mains socket. Do not pull on the power cord or on the device to disconnect the mains part from the
socket. Never hold or carry the device by the power cord. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
Do not crush, bend or twist the power cord. Do not insert needles or other sharp objects into the device.
Ensure that the device, the power adapter and the power cord do not come into contact with water, steam
or other liquids. Only use the device in dry rooms (e.g. never in the bath, sauna).
