Application
This appliance is an electric table grill
suitable for low-fat grilling of meat, fi sh,
poultry or vegetables.
The ribbed grill surface is particularly
suitable for grilling steaks, and the smooth
side for fi sh, vegetables or sausages.
Before using for the fi rst time
∙ Remove any packing materials
completely, before the appliance is used
for the fi rst time.
∙ The grill plate, splash guard, warming
rack and fat collection tray should be
cleaned with a damp, lint-free cloth. Wipe
thoroughly dry afterwards.
∙ Then let the grill heat up for about 15
minutes without any food on it. This will
remove the smell typically encountered
when fi rst switching on a grill. A little
smoke may be emitted; for that reason,
adequate ventilation should be ensured
by opening windows or balcony doors.
Indicator light
During the heating phase, the indicator
light on the thermostat comes on. Once the
pre-set temperature level is reached, the
light goes out.
Splash guard
The grill can be used with or without the
splash guard. However, for best results,
we do recommend using it. To install,
fi t the recesses on the guard over the
corresponding protruding catches on the
grill plate.
Warming rack
The warming rack can be fi tted into the
corresponding recesses on the splash guard.
It serves to keep food warm.
Thermostat
The thermostat serves to regulate the grill
temperature. We recommend using the lower
temperature range to keep food warm, the
medium range for sensitive food such as fi sh
or poultry, and the higher range for steaks,
sausages and vegetables.
